Our Mission

WE DIVE THE
WRECKS NOBODY
HAS DIVED.

Current and ex-forces divers running deep closed-circuit expeditions on the lost wrecks of the British coast. Everything else this company does came out of needing to do that properly.

The argument

WHY WE EXIST

There are wrecks off the British coast that nobody has put a diver on. Ships lost in two world wars, recorded in an Admiralty file as a position and a date and then left alone, because the water is cold and dark and deep enough that finding out costs real effort.

We go and find them. Archival research to narrow a search box, side-scan sonar from our own RHIB, then verification dives on closed circuit, long enough on the bottom to photograph and measure properly. What comes back goes to the UK Hydrographic Office, the site gets charted, and the identification enters the national record.

That is the company. Not a brand that runs expeditions, but an expedition team that also trains people and builds equipment, because doing this work properly required both.

The training exists because we wanted people capable of coming with us, and found the pathway to that standard patchy. The SHARK exists because we wanted a closed circuit unit built for exactly this kind of diving: long bottom times, cold dark water, no easy abort. The opinions behind it were formed underwater rather than in a meeting. Military units buy it now for their own reasons. It was specified for ours.

The units are built to our specification by a long-standing manufacturing partner in Belgium. Everything after that stays here: servicing, cell replacement, spares and training, delivered by cleared personnel. Partly because a life-support system you cannot get parts for is not a capability. Mostly because we are the ones diving it.

How we operate

FOUR THINGS WE HOLD TO

Short enough to remember, specific enough to be held to.

01

We dive what we sell

Every item in our range is on our own expeditions. That is the entire selection criterion. A short list on purpose. If a design decision only makes sense on a spreadsheet, it does not survive contact with a February dive off the British coast.

02

Deep CCR, British water

Cold, dark, tidal and rarely generous with visibility. Deep closed circuit here is a different discipline to deep CCR somewhere warm and blue, and it is the only kind we do. Servicing and spares are held in the UK for the same reason: we are the ones relying on them.

03

Standards, not adjectives

Equipment is tested to ISO, BS EN and CE. Training is delivered to JSP 804 Defence Diving Standards and through TDI and RAID. Those are checkable claims, and we would rather make those than bold ones.

04

Through-life, not point of sale

A unit we sell and cannot support is a liability we created. Training, servicing, cells and spares are part of the product, not an upsell attached to it.

A straight answer

WHY YOU WON'T FIND
OUR NAMES HERE

It is a fair thing to ask about, so here is the reasoning rather than a disclaimer.

Members of our team have served in tactical diving units and specialised equipment development teams, and hold clearances. Publishing names, faces and service histories against a public commercial website would be spending information that isn't ours to spend. It is theirs, and in some cases their former units'.

So we don't. What we do instead: for procurement enquiries, unit training coordinators and framework applications, we provide full CVs, qualifications, instructor numbers and clearance status directly, under NDA where the situation calls for it. Ask, and you get names.

We would rather be a harder read on a website and a straightforward one across a table.

If you are assessing us as a supplier and need to know exactly who would be delivering the work, say so in an enquiry and that is what you will get back.

Don't take our word

HOW TO CHECK US

Anyone can put a standard in a footer. These are the routes that don't run through us.

The public record

Our instructors locate and identify lost WW1 and WW2 wrecks around the UK coastline, and submit comprehensive wreck reports to the UK Hydrographic Office. That work enters the national record and is checkable independently of us.

The agencies

We teach under TDI and RAID, and deliver HSE and ADAS pathways. Training agencies hold their own registers, so instructor status can be confirmed with them directly rather than with us.

See the courses →

The equipment

The SHARK is tested to ISO, BS EN and CE. Full technical data, test certification and configuration options are provided on request, including to prospective customers still deciding.

See the specification →

Capability statement on request

Procurement teams, unit training coordinators and framework assessors can request a full capability statement covering personnel, qualifications, standards evidence and supply chain. Sent directly, under NDA where required.
