TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated 5 September 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms govern the sale of equipment and the provision of training and expeditions by LRDG Ltd, registered in England & Wales, of 4 Mason Court, Gillan Way, Penrith 40 Business Park, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 9GR, United Kingdom. Contact: info@lrdg.uk.
2. Your status
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to enter into a binding contract.
3. How a contract is formed
Your order is an offer to buy. We will acknowledge it, but a contract is only formed when we confirm dispatch, or in the case of a built-to-order item, when we confirm your configuration in writing and take the deposit.
4. Price and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. Where VAT applies it is shown before you pay. Prices for built-to-order equipment are confirmed at quotation and hold for 30 days.
Unit, framework and MOD pricing is quoted separately and is not governed by the consumer terms in section 6.
Uncollected goods may attract a storage charge of up to £10 per week.
5. Availability
If we cannot supply an item we will tell you and refund any sum paid in full. We are not liable beyond that refund for an item we cannot supply.
6. Consumer rights
If you are buying as a consumer you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days, subject to the exceptions set out in our returns policy, notably that goods made to your specification are exempt. Your rights in respect of faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are unaffected.
7. Training and expeditions
These are services, and different rules apply:
- Bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment or deposit.
- You have a 14-day right to cancel a service booking. If you ask us to begin within that period and we do, you lose the right once the service is fully performed, and may owe a proportionate amount for what has been delivered.
- Weather and sea state decide expedition dates, not a calendar. If we postpone for conditions we will offer an alternative date or a full refund of the trip fee. We are not liable for your travel or accommodation costs, so book those flexibly.
- Courses and expeditions carry prerequisites. If you cannot meet them on the day for reasons within your control, we may be unable to refund.
- Diving carries inherent risk. You must disclose relevant medical conditions and hold appropriate insurance. We may decline participation on safety grounds, and we will refund you if we do.
8. Risk and title
Goods are at your risk from delivery. Title passes on payment in full.
9. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for anything else it would be unlawful to exclude.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of income, revenue, business, anticipated savings, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any order will not exceed the price paid for it.
10. Equipment use and servicing
Life-support equipment must be used only by divers holding the appropriate qualification for it, and maintained on the manufacturer's schedule. Modifying a unit, or servicing it outside our approved process, ends any warranty and may make it unsafe.
11. Export control
Some equipment is subject to UK export controls. You may not export or re-export it contrary to those controls, and you are responsible for any licence your own jurisdiction requires.
12. Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather and sea state, industrial action, fire, flood, epidemic, failure of telecommunications networks, or the acts of suppliers and couriers.
13. General
Notices should be sent to info@lrdg.uk. If any provision is found unenforceable the rest remains in force. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
