What we collect, and why
When you use the enquiry form
We collect your name, email address, and optionally your telephone number and organisation, along with whatever you write in the message. We use it solely to answer your enquiry. The lawful basis is your consent, given by the checkbox on the form, and you may withdraw it at any time.
When you buy something
Our checkout is operated by Snipcart, and payment is handled by our payment provider. They collect the name, delivery address, contact details and payment details needed to fulfil the order. We never see or store your full card details. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.
When you visit the site
Our host records standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, for security and reliability. We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Who processes it
We keep this list specific rather than vague, so you can check it:
- Netlify: hosting, and storage of enquiry-form submissions.
- Snipcart: shopping cart and checkout.
- Our payment provider: card processing. We do not receive card numbers.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for marketing.
Where it is held
Our processors may store data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: kept while we deal with your enquiry and for up to 24 months afterwards, then deleted.
- Orders: kept for six years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@lrdg.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
